Oyftref - Meeting Klezmer In 1989 the musicians of Trio Oyftref met first time during Workshops for Klezmer, Yiddish wedding and dance music in Berlin, given by Giora Feidman. Trio Oyftref began to appear as a trio in1994 to play this music in concerts, commemorative events, exhibitions, weddings, birthday parties...
Sometimes melancholically soft, sometimes with passionately fiery dance tunes - this is how this ambitious trio interpretes its Yiddish music in intense images, enlarging its musical language with improvisations and sounds. Annette Siebert (violin), Thomas Siebert (oboe, clarinet, bassett clarinet)and Stefan Goreiski (chromatic button accordion, vocals, recitation) had played together, among other occasions, at the Yiddish Festival in Sefad, Israel and were many years guests at the Yiddish Summer Weimar. Its musical background is enriched by diverse experiences in chamber music and orchestral music as well as folk and street music in Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Lithuania, Balkans and Israel.
In 1997 appeared their first CD Dreyt zikh a Velt, in 2003 CD Ibern Jam.
